Process for cooling/freezing goods transported down cooling tunnel

The process has the goods delivered at one end of the tunnel, transported inside it to the other end and there given up. A coolant is introduced into the tunnel. The goods are transported by means of a moving floor (1) which has several elements that are displaced in a manner at least partly independently of each other in the longitudinal direction of the tunnel. The goods are delivered in steps from the region of input to the region of output. The input quantity of the goods per unit time and their transport speed inside the tunnel are determined together so that the whole tunnel cross-section is filled.
