PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such failure that magnetic developer is leaked outside and splashed from occurring by providing the aperture part area of the developer housing part of a process unit with a magnet for sealing forming a magnetic field restricting the magnetic developer by magnetic force on a condition that the process unit is housed in a packing member. SOLUTION: The magnet for sealing 22 is positioned and fitted with respect to the packing member so that one magnetic pole(N pole) thereof is opposed to the magnetic pole S1 of a magnet for developing 9 whose polarity is different from the magnetic pole(N pole) on the condition that the process unit 1 is housed in the packing member. Then, the magnetic field whose intensity is increased is formed in an area between the magnetic pole S1 of the magnet 9 and the part of a developing container opposed to the magnetic pole S1 and this area is sealed by napped magnetic toner existing in this area. Thus, even when the unit 1 being transported is strongly vibrated, the magnetic toner D left in the developing container 6 is prevented from being splashed outside. |
