PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large, heavy-duty pneumatic bias tire free from CBU troubles. SOLUTION: This large, heavy-duty pneumatic bias tire comprises a pair of beads 1, a pair of sidewalls 2, the tread 3, and the carcass 4 reinforcing the regions and composed of rubber coated bias plies including organic fiber cords. The organic fiber cords of at least one of the rubber coated bias plies in the large, heavy-duty pneumatic bias tire have a yarn twist factor N1 and a cord twist factor N2 satisfying the formula of (D2/D1)1/2<=N2/N1<=2.9. where N1=n1×(0.126×D1/ρ)1/2×10-3 N2=n2×(0.126×D2/ρ)1/2×10-3 n1 is the number of turns of yarn (times/10 cm) n2 is the number of turns of cord (times/10 cm) D1 is indicated decitex of yarn (dtex) D2 is total indicated decitex of cord (dtex)ρis the specific gravity of fiber.
