<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of increasing a hot water supply amount. <P>SOLUTION: This water heater comprises a circulation circuit 16 for connecting a lower portion and an upper portion in a hot water storage tank 1, a heat pump unit 2 for heating water in the circulation circuit 16, a hot water supply flow channel 22 for supplying hot water to a hot-water using side terminal from the upper portion in the hot water storage tank 1, a branch point 18 disposed between the heat pump unit 2 and the hot water storage tank 1 in the circulation circuit 16, a direct hot water supply flow channel 30 for connecting the branch point 18 and the hot water supply flow channel 22 without passing through the hot water storage tank 1, a midde hot water flow channel 23 connecting a middle point in the hot water storage tank 1 and the direct hot water supply flow channel 30, a flow rate adjustment valve 17 disposed between the branch point 18 and the hot water storage tank 1 and adjusting a flow rate of the hot water flowing to the upper portion of the hot water storage tank 1 through the circulation circuit 16, and a switch valve 32 for switching the flow of the hot water from the middle hot water flow channel 23 side to the hot water supply flow channel 22 side by blocking the direct hot water supply flow channel 30, or the flow of the hot water from the upstream side of the direct hot water supply flow channel 30 to the middle hot water flow channel 23 side or the hot water supply flow channel 22 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
