PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica sol fluid dispersion suitable for forming a silica porous film that is porous and has a low refractive index and yet has high transparency, as well as to provide a silica porous film-forming composition and a silica porous film.SOLUTION: The silica sol fluid dispersion comprises a liquid component containing a silica particle, a dispersant and a solvent, in which the silica particle is a hydrophobic silica particle having a surface substituted by a hydrophobic functional group, the dispersant comprises 1 or more -NHstructure in the molecule and is a compound having a molecular weight of 73 or less when the decimal point is truncated to make it into an integer, and the mass ratio between the hydrophobic silica particle and the dispersant (hydrophobic silica particle:dispersant) is 100:1 to 100:15.SELECTED DRAWING: None
