PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently acquire information on a device or device control method, desired by a user, while reducing data communication between an information processing apparatus and an external server, in controlling the device from the information processing apparatus.SOLUTION: When a help function of a device control application in an information processing apparatus is executed, a help screen 50 is displayed. When a user inputs a keyword in a keyword input field 53 in the help screen 50 to start searching, a topic related to the keyword is searched from a help topic database in the information processing apparatus. When there is no corresponding topic in the help topic database, at least one related word relating to the device control application or a device to be controlled thereby is added to the keyword input in advance by the user as a keyword, the external server is searched, and a result thereof is received.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
