PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for assessing the responsiveness to angiogenesis inhibitors.SOLUTION: Provided is an in vitro method for identifying a patient responsive or susceptible to bevacizumab, comprising a step of detecting one or more variant alleles of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1 (VEGFR-1) gene in a sample from a patient suffering from pancreatic cancer, where the presence of one or more variant alleles of VEGFR-1 is indicative for patient's responsiveness or sensitivity to bevacizumab, and the one or more variant alleles of VEGFR-1 gene is selected from rs9513070 of which position 51 is A and/or C and rs9554320 of which position 51 is C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
