PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon type guiding tool that can be inserted into a treatment instrument channel.SOLUTION: An endoscope system includes an endoscope provided with an instrument channel, and an anchoring assembly provided with an expandable/contractable balloon assembly. The expandable/contractable balloon assembly can be arranged by being contracted to a cross sectional size small enough to pass through the instrument channel, and can be expanded to a size large enough to be anchored in a large intestine without being substantially drawn.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
