<p>1320020 Dyeing in presence of oxolane compounds CAROCHEM SOUTHERN CORP 23 Oct 1970 [10 Nov 1969] 50560/70 Heading D1B Natural and/or synthetic fibres e.g. wool, nylon and polyesters are dyed in presence of or are after treated with in vapour phase an oxolane compound of formula: in which R is a hydrogen or halogen atom or an hydroxy or alkyl group, R 1 is an hydroxy, alkoxy, omega-hydroxyalkoxy or saturated aliphatic acyloxy group, or with a mixture of these compounds at a raised temperature preferably 110 to 300‹F. Conventional carriers e.g. benzyl alcohol and methyl salicylate may also be present. The preferred compound being 2-hydroxymethyloxolane.</p> |
