PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless phone that can discriminate whether or not a slave unit is at the outside of the zone even in a waiting state and allow a master unit to grasp the distance from the slave unit and to provide its control method and a storage medium. SOLUTION: A CPU 25 in a waiting state allows a buzzer 30 to raise a warning tone I on the basis of a discrimination signal denoting that a radio wave level of a distance measurement radio wave sent from a master unit 1 is smaller than a set optional radio wave level, transmits the control signal to the master unit 1 on the basis of the discrimination signal, a CPU 7 allows a buzzer 14 to raise the warning tone I on the basis of the control signal sent from a slave unit 17, the CPU 25 allows the buzzer 30 to raise a warning tone II on the basis of the discrimination signal denoting that the radio wave level of the distance measurement radio wave sent from the master unit 1 is smaller than a prescribed radio wave level in a busy state, transmits the control signal to the master unit 1 on the basis of the discrimination signal and the CPU 7 allows the buzzer 14 to raise the warning tone II on the basis of the control signal sent from the slave unit 17.
