摘要 PURPOSE:The titled polymer having an electrical and electrochemical activity and useful as a material for electrodes of batteries and sensors, obtained by polymerizing by electrolytic oxidation a diphenyl ether derivative and a diphenyl sulfide derivative compound in a solvent. CONSTITUTION:A diphenyl ether derivative of the formula (wherein X is O or S, Y1-2 are each H, OH or NH2, except the case where both of Y1 and Y2 are H), a diphenyl sulfide derivative compound, optionally, an amine (e.g., dimethylamine) in an amount approximately equimolar to that of said compound, and a supporting electrolyte (e.g., Na2SO4) in an amount corresponding to a concentration of about 0.01mol/l are dissolved in a solvent (e.g., water), and this solution is poured into a three-electrode electrolytic cell, and the monomers are polymerized by electrolytic oxidation by applying a predetermined voltage between a working electrode and a counter electrode (the three electrodes are a reference electrode such as a KCl-saturated calomel electrode and working and counter electrodes made of platinum, carbon or the like) to deposit a polymer on the working electrode. This polymer is used as such or after being peeled from the electrode.
