DISCHARGE ELECTRODE OF WET ELECTRIC DUST COLLECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dust collection performance by installing an energizing spring as a part of main current-carrying pathway to prevent loosing of an electrode support part caused by corrosion of spacers. SOLUTION: A discharge electrode 8 of a wet electric dust collector has a plurality of discharge plates 10 each having a hole 10a in the center and a plurality of sharp-pointed projections 10b radially arranged on the periphery, and a plurality of cylindrical spacers 11 for holding the discharge plates 10 at regular vertical intervals, where a core rod 9 penetrates the holes 10a of the discharge plates 10 and the hollow parts of the spacers 11 to connect them vertically and continuously. An energizing spring 21 is installed between an upper discharge electrode support frame 6 for supporting the core rod 9 and the top discharge plate 10 so as to surround the core rod 9 and press against the upper discharge electrode support frame 6 and the top discharge plate 10.
