PURPOSE:To provide a plating method in which the surface of an article is cleaned and simultaneously respective electric conductivities in water washing tanks are kept constant by performing the lateral and vertical movements and shaking of an article, maintaining the temps. of the tanks for aqueous alkali, acid aqueous solution, etc., for use in incidental operations, and circulating water in the respective water washing tanks to remove electrolytic ions. CONSTITUTION:A control panel 1 is operated, and an article 2 which is on standby on a loading stand 3 is loaded 4 to undergo pretreatment with the prescribed aqueous alkali 6 and acid aqueous solution 8. Subsequently, this article 2 is immersed in an aqueous solution containing electrolytic ions to undergo chemical treatment 9, and then, in order to remove the aqueous alkali, acid aqueous solution, or electrolytic ions adhering to the article 2 surface, the article 2 is immersed in water washing tanks 7 down to the prescribed positions. The article 2 after subjected to the water washing of the surface is drawn up and allowed to travel 4 to the unloading 3 position. After that, water in the tanks 7 is circulated 13 until the operation of the subsequent lot is exerted, by which the electrolytic ions are removed by means of ion exchanger 13. Next, clean water is supplied 15 while detecting 14 the electric conductivity of the water after the removal of the electrolytic ions, by which the prescribed electric conductivity can be maintained and the above water after the electrolytic-ion removal can be treated within the process without discharging it outside the process. |
