<p>PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method of an electromagnetic clutch wherein a manufacturing process for an armature is simplified. CONSTITUTION: In manufacturing an electromagnetic clutch comprising a rotor; and an armature 8 attracted to a rotor through excitation of an electromagnetic coil and outputting a driven force, the armature 8 comprising an annular outer peripheral part 9 made of a soft magnetic material; a body part 10 made of a soft magnetic material and coupled with an output shaft; and a magnetic passage shield part 11 made of a non-magnetic material to intercouple an outer peripheral part and a body part, the armature is provided with a step to fill with and compress the non-magnetic material by means of which a magnetic passage cutoff part is formed in a mold. Further, manufacture thereof comprises a step wherein the position of a mould adjoining the magnetic passage cutoff part is filled with a soft magnetic material, by which the outer peripheral part and the body part are formed, to compress the material; and a step wherein the outer peripheral part, the magnetic passage cutoff part, and the body part, which are integrally formed through compression moulding, are sintered through compression molding.</p> |
