PURPOSE:To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine in which an idle switch is eliminated without lowering the function of detecting an idle state, the function of controlling the feedback of rotation speed, the function of limp home and the like and at the same time the constituent parts of a control unit are reduced to cut down costs. CONSTITUTION:The detection signals from each sensor and a switch which are installed in a vehicle are inputted to one control unit 401. The control unit 401 uses an idle-state detection signal as one control information, thereby performing the control of an internal combustion engine (fuel injection control, ignition timing control and idle rotation speed control) and at the same time controlling an electromagnetic clutch. An idle switch is eliminated. An acceleration switch 122 for detecting the opened state of an accelerator pedal 121 is used to detect the fully closed state of a throttle valve 103, and the internal combustion engine is brought into an idle state when the accelerator pedal 121 is in the opened state. |
