PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device of an orthogonal transfer system in which management of image data in a image data storage memory is simplified so as to form the image at a high speed. SOLUTION: A device is an image forming device of an orthogonal transfer system where a toner image carried on a toner image carrier streched in a direction orthogonal to a carrying direction of print paper by plural rollers is transferred to the print paper in a direction orthogonal to the carrying direction of the print paper by transfer counter rollers and the toner image transferred to the print paper is fixed in. The image forming device of the orthogonal transfer system is obtained by providing an address forming circuit having a write-in address counter 23 to write-in development data of 4 primary colors extracted from a different part of an original image by each color component on a memory space of one development part in a image data storage memory 12 so as to simplify the management of the image data in the image data storage memory.
