PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver or the like that allows the user to listen to a program desired by a sponsor in added data without zapping. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver is provided with a channel selection section 101 that receives a program stream resulting from multiplexing program data and added data, a demultiplexer section 104 that demultiplexes them, an AV decoder 105 that displays programs, added data storage section 106 that stores added data, an entry section 102 that accepts a program display stop instruction, a control section 115 that discriminates that the added data are effectively used when the instruction is received and the display of programs is finished and discriminates that the added data cannot effectively be used when the display is not finished, and the input section 102 that accepts whether the display is stopped or cancelled when the control section 115 discriminates that the added data cannot be effectively used. The program display is stopped only when the control section 115 discriminates that the added data are effectively used and a selection of stopping the display is accepted. |
