The width (L) in the circumferential direction of the outer surface 2a of an inner joint member 2 is L≥3.5 mm. When the assembly angle (θo) of the torque transmitting ball 3 is set to 50 DEG , the width (W) in the axial direction is set so that the ratio Rw (= W/PCDSERR) between the width (W) in the axial direction and the pitch circle diameter (PCDSERR) of the teeth of an engagement portion 2c lies within the range of 0.57 < Rw≤0.95. Thus, while enabling the assembly of the torque transmitting ball at the assembly angleθo = 50 DEG , cold forging on the inner joint member 2 is made possible, thereby reducing the processing cost. By reducing the width (W) in the axial direction as much as possible, the weight, dimension, and material cost can be reduced.

|
