PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium library apparatus being suitable for miniaturization and a recording medium magazine for the apparatus. SOLUTION: The recording medium library apparatus X1 is provided with: the recording medium magazine provided with a plurality of recording media 10 and a storing part 20 storing these media; a drive 30 performing recording and reproducing for the recording medium 10; and a transport means 40 transporting the recording medium 10 between the storing part 20 and the drive 30. The recording medium 10 includes a recording function part and a handling function part 12 being integrated with the recording function part and having a recessed part. The storing part 20 has a support part abutted on the handling function part 12 and supporting the recording medium 10. The transport means 40 is provided with a movable part performing delivery and receipt of the recording medium between the transport means 40 and the storing part 20 and delivery and receipt of the recording medium 10 between the transport means 40 and the drive 30, the movable part has click parts 43, 44 being able to engage with the recessed part of the handling function part 12.
