<p>There is provided a workpiece support whereby reliability of operation can be increased and durability can be enhanced. The workpiece support (1) comprises a rod (4), a sleeve body (10), a case member (3), a scraper (14), an external peripheral hydraulic chamber (22), and oil passages (34, 35, 36), and is further provided with an air passage (28) formed between the rod (4) and the internal peripheral surface of the sleeve body (10), and connected to the small gap between the rod (4) and the scraper (14), and an air input port (18) for supplying compressed air (50) to the air passage (28); wherein compressed air (50) is supplied from the air input port (18) to the air passage (28) and expelled from the small gap between the rod (4) and the scraper (14) when the rod (4) is retracted. <IMAGE></p> |
