PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device for allowing a user to comfortably performing edit work of a character string when using an application.SOLUTION: A portable telephone comprises: a display unit 21; a key operation unit 11; a memory 101; and a CPU 100. The CPU 100 displays a character string on an input screen, in a state that the character string is added with a character, and stores in the memory 101 an addition position at which the character can be added to the character string on the input screen. When a predetermined application is executed after the addition position is stored in a state that the input screen is displayed on the display unit 21, the CPU 100 displays an operation screen of the application on the display unit 21, and displays the character string displayed on the input screen in a character input area of the operation screen. When operation input is performed for adding the character to the character string displayed in the character input area, the CPU 100 displays a character to be added at the addition position read out from the memory 101. |
