OYSTER SHELL ABSORBENT FOR SO2 AND NOX REMOVAL AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An oyster shell absorbent for the removal of SO2 and NOx generated from desulfurization process and a method for preparing the same are provided. CONSTITUTION: The method for fabricating oyster shell absorbent includes the steps of calcining 70 to 100 wt.% of oyster shell at 900 deg.C; mixing calcined oyster shell with 0 to 30 wt.% of NaCl; hydrating the mixture at 90 deg.C for 12 to 24 hrs; and drying, pulverizing and sieving.
