PURPOSE:To produce capsules having an uniform wall thickness in a short time, by using a simple substance of gelan gum or with other colloids. CONSTITUTION:0.5-4pts. gelan gum which is one kind of polysaccharides or, if necessary, an adequate amount of other colloids, e.g. carrageenan or xanthan gum, or other solid components, e.g. sugar or dextrin, is dispersed in 100pts. hot water at >=90 deg.C and dissolved while stirring by a conventional method. The resultant solution is then used to produce capsules. Gelation temperature can be increased as compared with that of gelatin and gelation rate can be increased. |
