<p>An apparatus for interfacing a telephone system having a central processor (10A) and a plurality of telephone extension lines (11A...N) operatively connected to the central processor (10A) to at least one pager transmitter (14). For each pager transmitter there is an interface circuit (12A...N) which is connected to one of the telephone extension lines (11A...N) and to one of the pager transmitters (14A...N). The interface circuit (12A...N) includes a ring signal detector to detect activation of the telephone extension line connected thereto and for providing an output indicative of the activation.
