PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which can safely be used for a long period of time for purifying water, air or the like and has high purification efficiency. SOLUTION: This titanium oxide-coated catalyst has a coated film of titanium oxide formed by jetting the powder of titanium or a titanium alloy, preferably titanium, onto the surface of a cylindrical substrate 10 consisting of titanium or the titanium alloy, preferably titanium, by a blasting method. When a lot of the titanium oxide-coated catalyst are gathered and arranged in the passage of the fluid to be purified such as water and air and the fluid to be purified is made to pass through it, the gas or liquid passing through it can be purified by the photocatalytic action of titanium oxide. |
