PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a long time until returning to a reusable state by requesting retrieval to a host server so as to obtain merchandise information. SOLUTION: The merchandise information retrieving mode of local PLU is sorted into a normal mode (the case of relying on merchandise information within POS system 6 to 6'') and an urgent mode (the case of not relying on). In the case of the urgent mode, a registering mode flag within merchandise information 8 to 8'' retrieved within the POS systems 6 to 6'' is checked to check whether the merchandise is added or updated after the emergency mode or not. When the merchandise information is added or updated after changing to the urgent mode, the merchandise information is reported to application to be processed. On the other hand, before merchandise information is changed to the urgent mode, the request of a master file 7 is retrieved from local PLU to global PLU. After adding retrieved merchandise information into the POS systems 6 to 6'', it is reported to application to be processed. |
