PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a supporting force and to recycle safely and detachably by enabling a lock part having a projection part for fitting into a small hole on the end part of a cable disposed on the inside of a front insertion opening to be vertically flexible through an external force and an operation part. SOLUTION: Within this flat cable connector 10, a lock part 12 is disposed on a groove 15 sandwiched between a flat cable placing surfaces 73a and 73b. This lock part 12 has an operation part 14 and a projection part 13 projected from an insertion opening 11 at a front-end part with its back-end part fixed inside and resiliently vertically flexible an external force. When a flat cable 60 is inserted from the insertion opening 11 of the connector 10, electrical connection parts 64a and 64b, which are end parts of the cable 60, are introduced along the placing surfaces 73a and 73b to reach at a stopper 74 as the projection part 13 is pressed down at an insulative contact part 66 in the middle, and the projection part 13 is fit into a small hole 65 to be fixed. When detaching the flat cable 60, the lock part 12 is pressed down through the operation part 14 and the lock of the projection part 13 is released to extract the flat cable 60.
