PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism which prevents a cap member from being pressed to a housing and makes the cap member hardly slip off and deviate into an inclined state with respect to a developing device used in an image forming device like a printer or a copying machine of the electrophotographic type. SOLUTION: A roll member 141 has roll main body parts 1411 and 1412 which bear toner on their peripheral surface and a support shaft 1413 projecting from both ends of roll main body parts 1411 and 1412, and cap members 142 which have holes 1321 where the support shaft 1413 is inserted and are crowned on both ends of roll main body parts 1411 and 1412 and are freely rotated with respect to roll main body parts 1411 and 1412 and are brought into contact with an image carrier 11 to control the gap between roll main body parts 1411 and 1412 and the image carrier 11 and a control member 144 which controls the position of the cap members 142 in the direction of the support shaft 1413 with respect to roll main body parts 1411 and 1412 are included. |
