摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device having a thin light guide plate with reduced variation in luminance. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device comprises a light source, a transparent plate, a reflecting film, and a scattering film. The transparent plate has the light source at its end face. The reflecting film on at least one side surface of the opposite plane surfaces on the transparent plate has a light reflecting capability. The scattering film on at least another side surface area of the transparent plate where no reflecting film is attached has a light scattering capability, and an uneven portion at a part corresponding to the area where no reflecting film is attached. As the transparent plate is getting away from the light source in the light outgoing direction of the light source, a coverage space occupied by the area where the scattering film is arranged with no reflecting film attached becomes larger gradually.
