<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doughnut having taste and flavor similar to those of a yeast doughnut and having high nutritive value and to provide a method for stably producing the doughnut without necessitating highly skilled person or much labor. <P>SOLUTION: A doughnut having the palatability and characteristic taste similar to those of yeast doughnut can be prepared without using yeast fermentation by adding ground meat paste of white-flesh fish to the raw materials for doughnut paste. Doughnuts having uniform quality can be stably produced without necessitating highly skilled person or much labor because strict regulation of fermentation condition and complicate production procedure are not necessary in the production process. The doughnut contains high-quality protein derived from fish meat and small amount of oil absorbed in frying and, accordingly, has balanced nutrients and enables the further improvement of nutrients by the addition of vitamins and mineral sources.
