The invention relates to a device for tightness testing of an extended hollow body, whose inner space is pressurised with a test gas during the test, having an evacuable extended test chamber whose ends are each connected to a closure part, which seals in a vacuum tight manner, for guiding the hollow body to be tested into and out of the test chamber and to which an evacuation device and a detector sensitive to the test gas are connected. In order to produce a device which permits testing of extended, preferably thin-wall-profile hollow bodies of different lengths in a short test time, with reliable results and over their whole length, it is proposed that, for gas-tight separation of the inner space (11) of the hollow body (12) from the inner space (10) of the test chamber (1), an interchangeable seal is arranged on each end face (13, 14) of the hollow body (12) so that it can be pressed and that the inner space (11) of the hollow body (12) is connected to the exterior via an axially displaceable hollow lance (18) which passes through both seals, is arranged in the region of the closure part (4, 5) and is sealed off from the test chamber (1) and the exterior. <IMAGE>
