PURPOSE:To provide a herbicide composition exhibiting a synergistic effect and having an effect that chemical injuries manifested by the former are reduced by the latter, by compounding a sulfonyl urea derivative with S-(alpha,alpha- dimethylbenzyl)-1-piperidine carbothioate. CONSTITUTION:A sulfonyl urea derivative of the formula (X1 is Cl or alkoxycarbonyl; R1 and R2 are Cl, methyl or methoxy; Z is N1 when X1 is Cl and Z is CH when X1 is alkoxycarbonyl) and S-(alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl)-1- piperidine carbothioate are combined preferably in a ratio of 1:30-300(pts.wt.) to provide a herbicide composition. The composition exhibits an excellent herbicidal effect even against difficultly controlled weeds and has high safety to crops. The mixing of the latter compound not only reinforces the effect of the former compound against gramineous weeds but also reduces the chemical injuries of paddy rice, thereby permitting to use the former also for paddy fields. |
