Bar-type lock

A bar-type lock for locking a closure part which closes a chest (box) exhibits a bar which can pivot about its central axis and is provided, at at least one of its ends, with a hook. In the locked state of the chest, the hook grips behind a counter-piece which is connected fixedly to the chest. The longitudinal axis of the counter-piece runs approximately parallel to the central axis of the bar connected to the closure part. The longitudinal axis runs in a plane which extends approximately plane-parallel to a chest wall on which the counter-piece is fastened. The counter-piece is fastened on the wall of the chest by means of a base plate. Provided in the base plate is at least one slot, through which at least one fastening extends in the direction of the wall which bears the counter-piece. A retaining means on which the counter-piece is fastened projects from the base plate.
