LONG WAVELENGTH BAND WAVELENGTH CONVERTER

PURPOSE: A long wavelength band wavelength converter is provided, which can convert a 1550nm band(C-band) signal into a 1580nm(L-band) signal using an optical fiber wavelength conversion structure of different structure. CONSTITUTION: The first optical isolator(600) inputs a signal light of a wave light having a wavelength loaded with data, and a continuous wave light(500) generating a wavelength in a long wavelength band without data. An optical coupler(400) couples the signal light from the first optical isolator and the wavelength of the long wavelength band. A laser diode(100) generates a pump light for pumping. A wavelength division multiplexer(300) couples the light signal inputted from the optical coupler and the pump light generated from the laser diode. An EDF(Erbium-Doped Fiber)(200) increases a gain by amplifying and reabsorbing light signals from the wavelength division multiplexer. And the second optical isolator(700) outputs a light whose wavelength is converted from the EDF.
