PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated optical fiber of a optical fiber ribbon which is easily taken out at a halfway position of the ribbon after laid, and is made easily to branch and connect. SOLUTION: The ribbon T of coated optical fibers is constituted by arranging optical fibers 1 in an array in parallel, coating them with coating resin, and then uniting them into the ribbon; and a coating formed of the coating resin consists of two coatings as an upper-layer coating 2 on one plane side of a line L crossing the optical fibers and a lower-layer coating 3 on the other plane side, and the upper-layer coating 2 is formed having a larger Young's modulus and a less coating thickness than the lower-layer coating 3. |
