PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise management system capable of realizing the efficiently comprehensive management of purchases and consignments, and reducing merchandise inventries and merchandise storage spaces. SOLUTION: A management server 2 memorizes the number of inventries of purchases, the number of inventories of consignments, and the target number of consignments to be stored with respect to the respective descriptions of merchandise including the purchases and consignments which are managed by a merchandise seller, then updates the number of inventries of the purchases according to the warehousing and shipping of the purchases, and updates the number of inventries of the consignments according to the warehousing and shipping of the consignments. When the number of shipped purchases is larger than the number of inventries of purchases, the number of diversions calculated by subtracting the number of inventries of purchases from the number of shipped purchases is subtracted from the number of inventries of consignments, and the number of diversions is added to the number of inventries of purchases, so that the consignments are diverted to the purchases. When the number of stored consignments is smaller than the target number of consignments to be stored, the management server 2 promotes the consigner to supply the consignments through a Web page exclusive for the consigner. |
