PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote management system, a system/device for image formation, a management device, a remote management method and information recording medium by which difficulty caused by the capacity restriction of an electronic mail (e-mail) can be avoided and prevented in spite of the increase of a data transferring quantity while it is possible to transfer data via the e-mail through a network. SOLUTION: This system includes an image forming device to be managed, the management device for managing the device to be managed through the network, and respective mail servers connected to the network to transmit/ receive the e-mail from one of the image forming device and the management device to the other. Either or both of the management device and the image forming device have an e-mail division means for dividing and transmitting the e-mail based on the request of either of them. Either or both of the management device and the image forming device include an e-mail composing means for composing the divided e-mail based on the reception of the e-mail.
