PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient method and apparatus with which the user of a mobile device can remotely apply stored information to an appliance. SOLUTION: In the method and the device, stored information is remotely applied to the appliance via the mobile device. The mobile device initiates a process by transmitting instructions to a computer system via a communication network. The instructions designate the appliance to which information is to be supplied with information which is to be processed. According to the instructions, the computer system obtains information and converts the information to a document suitable for the appliance. The computer system applies the document to the designated appliance.
