<p>The invention relates to a locating combined gas ring and piston assembly using it, which can be used in a variety of reciprocating piston engines. The gas ring includes an upper ring and a lower ring. An upper locating member is provided at one end of the opening of upper ring. A lower locating member is provided at one end or both ends of the opening of lower ring. The lower locating member mates with the upper locating member to separate the opening of upper ring from the opening of lower ring. The piston assembly using the combined gas ring includes a piston and an oil ring thereon. Zero to two monolithic gas rings are provided within one groove upper the oil ring. One combined gas ring is provided within another groove upper the oil ring. The locating combined gas ring blocks the leakage path, therefore has excellent sealing performance. The piston assembly with different gas ring can improve the whole performance of engine and reduce the energy consumption. And the content of harmful particulate in exhaust gas can be decreased.</p> |
