PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image drawing device and an image luminance adjustment method that can reduce luminance with resolution of a drawing image retained.SOLUTION: An image drawing device 100 of the present invention comprises: a light source unit 105 that emits laser light; an optical scanner 200 that scans the laser light so as to reciprocate in a main scanning direction and in a sub-scanning direction; a scanner control unit 108 that controls a frequency in which the optical scanner 200 scans the laser light in the main scan direction; and a light source drive unit 104 that drives the light source unit 105 on the basis of image data. The scanner control unit 108 is configured to change the frequency to n times with n as a natural number equal to or more than 2, and the light source drive unit 104 is configured to change a time interval in which a pixel is drawn on a scanning line in the main scanning direction to 1/n times, cause a plurality of pixels corresponding to one scanning line to be drawn at least one time while the scan in the main scanning direction is implemented n times, and control the light source unit 105 so that the pixel is caused not to be drawn in the scanning line other than the scanning line having the pixel caused to be drawn.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
