PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which is excellent in writing quality even if an error of the voltage-to-current conversion efficiency by the variations among drives occurs. SOLUTION: The set value of a D/A converter 2 is determined by turning an LDON signal on (S1). A write pulse superposition signal 1 is turned on in a DC state and a light emitting power is measured (S2). The set value of the D/A converter 2 is changed and the light emitting power is measured (S3). The write pulse superposition signal 1 is turned off and the set value of the D/A converter 3 is determined (S4). The write pulse superposition signal 2 is turned on in a DC state and the light emitting power is measured (S5). The set value of the D/A converter 3 is changed and the light emitting power is measured (S6). The write pulse superposition signal 2 is turned off (S7). A straight line passing these two points is drawn and the inclination and intercept of this straight line are measured and saved (S8). IP3 is set from the value saved just before the actual write and equation (3) (S9). |
