PURPOSE:To enable the proper housing of a head rest, by allowing a bulged part to be formed at the top center of the back rest of a seat and recessed parts to be formed on both right and left sides thereof respectively so as to enable a pair of right and left head rests to be housed in each of the recessed parts. CONSTITUTION:The top part of a skelton frame 3 in the back rest seat 2 of a car seat 1 is bent inwardly to be formed in a projected shape and the inside attaching plate 6 of a hinge 5 is fixed to vertical parts 4, 4 thereof, while the circularly moving outside plate 7 of the hinge 5 is fixed to the skelton frame 9 of right and left head rests 8, 8' respectively. On the other hand, a bulged part 11 is formed at the top center of the back rest seat 2, and recessed parts 10, 10' of almost the same size as respective head rests 8, 8' are formed on both right and left sides of said bulged part 11. Normally, the right and left head rests 8, 8' are placed integrally on the of the bulged part 11 so as to be allowed to function as a head rest, while, when housed, respective head rests 8, 8' are divided in the right and left portions and circularly moved sidewall so as to be accommodated in the right and left recessed parts 10, 10', respectively.
