The hydraulic braking and steering braking device acting on the fixed drive wheels, uses a single brake pedal (1) and a steering braking valve (8). The brake pedal (1) has a pedal plate (11) which can be pivoted about an axis in the vertical longitudinal plane of the vehicle, relative to the pedal lever, to operate the steering braking valve. The latter is attached to the pedal lever (2). The valve rods (18) are electrically, electromagnetically or pneumatically by depressing the left-or right-hand half of the pedal plate (11). ADVANTAGE - Eliminates need for 2 separate brake pedals.
