A financial service involve server (100), banking institutions (120), market terminals (121) and network terminals (110) by which a customer may be guided to determine an amount for investment without undue risk should the investment prove unsuccessful. Amounts for investment are indicated in relation to an existing asset or liability of the customer and estimated to reduce the risk that such assets would need to be liquidated or otherwise prejudiced. The systems use the discount value of an asset to provide a guideline in determining an appropriate amount and term for investment. An investment which is less than the discount value will generally safeguard against possible loss of the asset. A range of market values is presented for a range of investments according to varius criteria. According to one criteria, the value and term of an investment are substantially matched to the value of the asset and a preferred term of investments. |
