PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing paper jam of a printer for a cash register is provided to easily remove the paper jammed between a feeding roller and a rubber roller. CONSTITUTION: In a printer for a cash register having a feeding roller(110) and a rubber roller(112) feeding a paper, an apparatus for removing paper jam of the printer for the cash register includes a motor(120) installed in one side of the printer for backwardly and forwardly rotating the feeding roller, a release cam(130) installed in a rotary shaft of the feeding roller for rotating only when the feeding roller rotates backwardly and separating the rubber roller from the feeding roller, a unit rotating the release cam only when the feeding roller rotates backwardly, a unit guiding a rotary shaft of the rubber roller when the rubber roller is separated from the feeding roller, and an elastic spring having one end supported at an appropriate part of the printer and the other end connected with both ends of the shaft of the rubber roller for operating force in the direction that the rubber roller always contacts with the feeding roller.
