PURPOSE: A device for clamping a disk of a disk driver is provided to exactly hold tight a disk on a turntable in the compacted disk driver and to exactly operate though the disk driver is installed in any direction. CONSTITUTION: A disk(D) is clamped and unclamped by raising/falling a clamper(120) in a supporting plate(106) with a rotation of a clamping driving plate(100). An elastic supporting arm(105) raises and falls the supporting plate(106) by guiding via an inclined face(28) on an upper chassis(20). The supporting plate(106) presses the disk(D) on a clamping section to firmly load the disk on a turntable. An interlocking folded portion(108) is formed in an elastic supporting arm(105). An interference avoiding protrusion(29) is formed on an upper chassis(20). The supporting plates(106) are installed in some elastic supporting arms(105) more highly than the rest. Thereby, the unclamping operation is sequentially performed.
