PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system of images encrypted for security in image transmission, which allows high-speed encryption processing, has good security, and is easy to be used with ordinary image transmission. SOLUTION: USB terminals are provided at an image transmission device and a key device is inserted at the terminal. It is easy to separately use encrypted image transmission or normal image transmission, by input of a data cipher key. The data cipher key has good security since it is encrypted by a cipher key stored in a black box. An encryption algorithm uses SXAL/ MBAL algorithm, which conducts variable bite processing with a combination of character changing, exclusive OR, and bite replacement.
