PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of accomplishing good fixation without causing failure such as an offset image and slip jamming, etc., by preventing the excessive rise of temperature at a non-paper passing part in a nip area while making the temperature distribution uniform in a recording material carrying direction in the nip area, and to provide an image forming device equipped with the fixing device. SOLUTION: Power is supplied from a power source to heat generating bodies 11b1, 11b2 and 11b3 successively arranged in the recording material P carrying direction at a supply energy ratio in accordance with at least one piece of information on the temperature of a heating member 11 within the maximum paper passing width and beyond the minimum paper passing width and on the number of fixation times from the fixation start at a continuous fixing processing.
