PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow twisted wire coil body which ensures a large adhesion force between element wires, does not form a space, has a uniform outer diameter and high roundness, gives quick torque response and adle-free torque transmissibility, when rotated, and has improved operability. SOLUTION: This core-free hollow twisted wire coil body 1 is formed by twisting a plurality of preformed metal wires 8 along an identical circumference. Thereby, adjacent element wires 1a receive compression forces each other on a twisting treatment not to form an unnecessary space between twist pitches. Thereby, the contact pressures between the element wires 1a are increased to give a large adhesion degree, and a space is not formed between the element wires 1a. The whole outer diameter of the tube body is uniform, has high roundness, and prevents the disintegration of the element wires. Therein, in order to enlarge a twisting compression pressure to enhance the adhesion force between the element wires 1a, it is possible to set different twisting pitches between the element wires 1a. |
