PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily designate an image processing operation to be executed at a certain time and an image processing parameter to be used for different images in a set of digital images. SOLUTION: A document is optically scanned according to detection of a command for executing the initial image processing operation. The scanned document image is analyzed so that control information such as an identification marker is detected in the document. Existence of the control information denotes that the document is a calibration printing sheet including marking by the user in a user designation area. According to the user designation area, the image file to be processed can be selected and an additional image processing operation can be designated. Therefore, in the case the control information exists, the initial processing operation is executed in an image file selected by the user. |
